Article: ACCRA ZOO: NATURE IS BEAUTIFUL
It has been said that nature is a beauty and it cannot be described with words,how the mountains wither and how the rains never go up but always come down.
As part of all this wonderful natural scenes is also the animals which aside food, is used as pets and others for transportation, this animals also serve as a tourist site for tourist attraction.
Mother nature in the preservation of animals comes out with a beautiful animal kingdom called zoo. The zoo is simply a park live animals live and and are exhibited.
There are so many tourist sites in the world,however the interesting site is the zoo,watching animals live their life,eat,communicate and go about their daily routine is an interesting thing to do.
Though some might see it as a waste of time,others can also testify the wonderful experience they get. Few of the zoos in Europe and Africa are Schonbrunn zoo,zoo Berlin,Chester zoo and Toronto zoo,Johannesburg zoo,Giza zoo respectively with Tierpart Perkin as the biggest zoo in Europe and national zoological gardens as the biggest zoo in Africa.
In Ghana the famous and most visited zoo is the Accra zoo,which is located in the heart of the Achimota forest. This zoo has been existence for over 12 years and has seen about 100,000,000,000 visitors and tourist from far and near.
The Accra zoo has several animals such as the donkeys,ducks white naped mangabey,Diana monkey,camel,ostrich,African grey parrot,love bird,royal python and dwarf crocodile among others. However, the animal that got my attention was the duck.
The duck is known as the animal with the sweetest meat and the most oily bone.
There were four ducks in the cage. The cage look like a play ground,loving room and bedroom. They had water pond where they swim and take their baths.
They play and communicate to each other just as we human beings do. The ducks swims in the water for sometime and walks round the cage,pecks some few grains and ants from the ground,wiggles its tails,makes some few sounds then back to the pond.
The ducks routines was so intersting, that watching then was fun. If only this ducks were free, they would express more freedom and actions. Looking at them is fun and one can never get satisfied. They survive only on grains,grasses and a few insects.
No man can seperate nature from his/herself because mankind himself us nature. The ducks were four in a cage,where they can relate and move freeely.
Tourism is meant to showcase nature. The Accra zoo showed nothing but depicted nature in a very nice way as tree were ppnated along the sides of the roads making it look like a canopy.
Without nature,one is so empty. Once nature ends,there is nothing attractive,hence no tourism.
However Accra zoo is one of the best sites in Ghana though it is hasn't fully best n developed. It is indeed an eye-saw and everyone is advised to see such an incredible site.
